Local Musical Events

**Currently with Covid-19, there are few, if any, live performances. I hope you will take advantage of the various arts' presentations online.

Cal Poly offers many free musical opportunities for your child to listen to new music and watch the technique of the performer from close range.  Remember, vocal and instrumental recitals have piano accompanists!   These are all held in the Music Building (Davidson Music Center)on the Cal Poly campus.  It's located downstairs and to the left of the PAC (next to the stage entrance area).

The San Luis Obispo Symphony has  a dress rehearsal the afternoon of their concerts.  You may go into the Performing Arts Center (PAC--Christopher Cohan Center) and stay for just a little while or for the whole rehearsal. It’s a marvelous opportunity to hear some fabulous music, watch some incredible performers, and listen to the explanations that the guest conductors will give during this rehearsal that they won't share during an actual performance!   Adults are $15.00 , Seniors $10, and Students with ID and children are free!

Cal Poly Arts has a wide variety of programs and entertainment. While the tickets to these events do cost money, they have student rates and other discounts. Be sure to check out the website---there are many, many other programs.  The Cohen Center is commonly referred to as the 'PAC".  It's on the Cal Poly Campus, and is the large performing arts center.
